We are proud to partner with Oglethorpe University to present the 2009 Suzi Awards in the beautiful Conant Theatre on the Oglethorpe campus.  

The Conant serves as the home of Georgia Shakespeare for part of the year, so many are already familiar with the venue.

Event FAQ

From the North

From I-75 or Georgia 400:

1. Take I-75 South or Georgia 400 to I-285 East.

2. Take the Ashford-Dunwoody exit, head south (inside 285). If you pass the mall, you're going the wrong way.

3. Follow Ashford-Dunwoody (watch for signs at the Johnson Ferry intersection); the road will dead-end at Peachtree Road. Turn right and stay in the right lane.

4. The next light is Lanier. Go through this intersection and you will see Oglethorpe University on the right.

5. Turn right into the campus; drive straight back to the blue and gray striped building.

OR

From I-85:

1. Take I-85 South to the Clairmont Road exit (get to the right after exiting).

2. At the end of the ramp, make a right (you’ll see Sam's Club and McDonalds).

3. Take Clairmont Road until it dead ends into Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

4. Make a left onto Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

5. Go approximately 1 mile. The University will be on your right (after the light for Lanier).

6. Turn right into the main gate; drive straight back to the blue and gray striped building.

It wouldn’t be the Suzi Awards without the party afterwards.

Immediately after the ceremony, in the lobby of the Conant and on the Veranda, we’ll have food and drinks and great company.  Everyone attending the awards ceremony is invited!

Congratulate the nominees and winners, and chat with the cream of Atlanta’s professional theatre community.   

Does the ticket include the after party?

Well, first, call your Mama!  Seriously, tell everyone you know about your Nomination.  Don’t be shy about it!

Next go the Nominee information page and make sure you’ve covered the checklist there.

Event Directions

From the South:

1. Take either I-75 or I-85 North, they will merge together in Atlanta.

2. When they split apart again, follow I-85 North (left fork).

3. Take Clairmont Road exit.

4. Make a left at the end of the ramp (you’ll see Sam's Club and McDonalds).

5. Take Clairmont Road until it dead ends into Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

6. Make a left onto Peachtree Industrial.

MARTA:

1. Take the rail line to the (NE8) Brookhaven/ Oglethorpe Station  - if you are travelling on a Northbound train, make sure that your train's final destination is Doraville. 

2. Take bus #25 to the Oglethorpe University gate.

3. Walk through the main entrance; continue straight back to the blue and gray striped building.

Wear whatever makes you feel fancy, no body is going to be turned away at the door because they aren’t wearing a tie!
